April 12, 2020 Dear Media, Our team at Happily Ever After (HEA) is devoted to saving and caring for the lives of animals. HEA began in 2006 with a mission to provide a loving home to every companion animal that enters our care. Through our 90% no-kill rate efforts, HEA’s facilities have united over 4,000 animals with their forever families across Wisconsin, and our efforts continue to grow. This year will mark our 2nd annual Hour of Love event, which is designed to help spread love and awareness of animals in need. In a typical year, volunteers will sign up for an hour-long hangout session with the dogs and cats at our shelter and promote HEA donations over their personal networks. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our approach will be tailored to keep social distancing in mind. Participants will now virtually show their support of the organization at home by calling, texting, or social sharing Happily Ever After’s mission on May first and second. We’ll provide volunteers a digital toolkit with messages and images they can share across digital channels, requesting donations from friends or family. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to ensure the same high-quality animal care will be extended to our furry friends for years to come. Throughout the website, you will find relevant Hour of Love information such as a news release, a media advisory explaining the details of the upcoming event, background information, along with facts and tips about Happily Ever After/Hour of Love.
Sincerely,
Sarah Luna
